What waste percentage should I use?
Use about 5% for simple square rooms, 10% for most installations, and 15% or more for diagonal patterns or rooms with many corners.
Does the estimate include underlayment?
No. Underlayment, trim, adhesives, transitions, and installation labor should be budgeted separately.
Should I measure closets?
Yes, include every floor area that will receive the same material.
